Tuesday's doings

There are so many new cartoons on since Tyler was a child that I feel out of the loop with Everlee. I finally looked up the name of the raccoon with the striped sweater on Dora. His name is Tico. Thank goodness for Google.
I couldn't stop watching and listening to Everlee before she actually fell asleep. She was singing Happy Birthday and counting.

My mornings with Cooper

I spent the morning w Cooper while Hollie went to the dentist. He is growing and developing his language skills so fast. He was running sentences together that I actually understood;) We had a fun time playing.
I also get to enjoy seeing him when I volunteer at MOPS two Friday's a month. He is getting used to being in the four year old room with me. He loves to play the shoe game, play Simon says and sits quite well during snack and craft time. I'm so grateful to be a part of his developmental years. Maybe he'll even learn to enjoy going to the barber shop with me pretty soon;)

Thursday shenanigans

Daddy gave Everlee a stir straw and she drank her whole glass of milk with it. Then at snack time she drank a whole glass of juice with it. How come a straw makes it so much more fun?!
A common quote after nap time is "downstairs please." So we did snack at the circle K watching Peppa.

So many laughs

Laugh number one today. Sitting in her pink chair bending over is how Everlee wanted to play with her new toy from gramma and papa Kneifl.
Laugh number two. She insisted on getting her Minnie cup by herself. When she saw I had the camera she says "cheese!"
Laugh number three. When she woke up from her nap she says "downstairs". So we go down to play. This is what she wanted to do once daddy went upstairs.
And for the grand finale laugh we were talking about who's a boy and she said Tyler. Who's a girl and she said gramma Coco. She told me Steve working, mommy working, daddy working. Then she says Hollie playing, Cooper playing, Brigett playing. And that's just one of the many chats we have every Tuesday and Thursday that makes me so happy she sees our afternoons as I do. A whole bunch of playing:)

Spring Break 2015

Tyler and Jason taking full advantage of TGIF.
Both kids keeping up on their reading over spring break;)
Tyler had Chloe and Cooper laughing so hard. He was pretending to be asleep and the kids would play with his beard and try to wake "the bear."  It had us all in stitches.

It was so fun to have Tyler home for spring break. He worked extra hours which his pocketbook will appreciate. We did lots of grilling out with the Smiths and Kneifls. A fun relaxing week for this mom:)

Thursday

Today was a fun busy day. The Smiths and Tyler joined us to watch the ISU game. Even though the Cyclones lost we still had fun playing with Chloe and Cooper. We continue to enjoy playing in the new playroom downstairs.

Mellow Tuesday

After nap time Everlee requested "Baby Einstein please." I was so smitten with her good manners that I gave in. She takes her learning shapes and colors very seriously:)

Not feeling well

Getting some fresh air on the deck and enjoying this beautiful sunny 65 degree afternoon.
So our low key activity before nap was to blow and pop bubbles for a little while.
When she wanted the glass door shut she discovered and was amazed by her image in the glass. She did all sorts of tricks and her reflection imitated. That got a few giggles out of her.
Today she wasn't feeling up to her usual busy self. She sat really well on my lap, holding the nebulizer and watching Minnie. When you're sick I know there's no place like mommys lap but I'm glad to fill in with wiping noses, washing hands and most of all cuddling.

Gymnastics

After a small breakfast we got ready for gymnastics. It was too cute to watch her morning routine of going "pretend" potty, then taking her pajamas and diaper off, washing her hands, and brushing her teeth.
A quick spin in the car before we head out.
Daddy put the car seat in and we were ready to roll.
Quite the fashionista sporting her sunglasses and new coat walking into Triad.
She loved sitting in the foam pit throwing the blocks.
After class we had Hollie and Cooper over for a short play date. They always enjoy a good tea party.

This last week has been a rough one. Thank you to Aunt Hollie and Grandma Coco for filling in for me while I was in Canada. It's so comforting to know we can lean on family in times of need. It truly takes a village:)

Thankful for friends

This weekend we were surrounded by supportive family and friends. I can't say enough how grateful we feel. We shared, laughs, tears, and memories. Just what we needed:)

Meeting Oakley

We finally got to meet our newest neice. She is super precious. I could snuggle with her for hours, but.....
Big sister, Emelia, was vying for our attention. So we read books, played ball, and of course took a few selfies;)
We love being fun Aunt and Uncle!
