Fancy

Today we spent a windy and chilly afternoon outside. When I see Ev on Tuesday's I always feel like her vocabulary doubled from the week before. Today was no different. Ev asked me if I wanted to eat at a fancy restaurant? So I sat down and asked her what the fancy restaurant was serving. She told me vanilla ice cream and chocolate on top.

Layed back Thursday

With Ev under the weather today we stayed inside and kept it pretty mellow. She did have a small spurt of energy where she put her bear cape on and did some singing and dancing for me. 

This is how much of the day into evening was spent. 

We did play in the bathroom for a bit. Ev put on her headband and she put in an Elsa barrette to make my hair pretty. Think we're ready for a night out on the town with these accessories;)

Earthing

Ev loves to practice the ancient art of Earthing-going barefoot and becoming one with the Earth. Needless to say when we go inside, this aunt, has her wash all that good earth out from between her toes in a sink sponge bath;)

This busy tandem

Everlee is very excited on Thursdays to have Cooper and Hollie come over to play. I think her favorite activity is to have Cooper chase her around and round in the basement. Although, they also enjoy the water table and trampoline. I love watching them sit together while they eat a snack. They are absolutely adorable:)

Tuesday tricks

Ev wanted to put "more" on her toothbrush by herself. At this rate we may go through a tube a week;)

After nap it was time for Elsa to do her singing and twirling routine:)

Happy 5th Birthday Ah'treil

Today, on Grandparents Day, we spent the day with Lauren and Ah'treil celebrating his 5th birthday. We did a little shopping and then made our way to The Amazing Pizza Machine. It's a huge building full of games and rides. You get a fist full of tickets and exchange them in for another fist of rubber snakes and dinosaurs. Steve, quickly found the go kart track and won himself a race! It was a fantastic day catching up, playing games, and laughing for these two birth grandparents;)

Tailgating

We finally get to tailgate with everyone! Steve and I took full advantage of riding up in the RV, playing beer pong and bean bags, good food and great company. We had a great day despite an ISU loss. 

Play date

After running and chasing each other inside for a while we made our way outside to the play set. I know I say it every week but they are just so darn cute together. It's so fun to watch them. 

Beautiful day to go to the park

Ev told me she can pedal by herself. This lasted for about 4 feet then she had me push her home. Haha

After nap we lathered up in sunscreen, put on her shoes from gramma coco(stomped around for a bit to watch them light up), hopped on her little bike and made our way to the park. We checked the fountain out, played with some worms, saw a grasshopper and started hopping like one, and drank many gulps from the water fountain. She also saw a classmate, Reese, playing with his older siblings. What a gorgeous afternoon outside. 

Sunday Funday

Sitting on the deck at Two Saints Winery  listening to the band Flipside, sipping on wine, and enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon. 

After the winery we drove around and saw the Bridges of Madison County. This was the one featured in the movie. 

Lots of people had left their mark so we did the same. Steve etched: "we're not here for a long time, just a good time." Steve and Brigett 9/6/15

They are perfect

I love our Thursday's together where we play, laugh, and attempt to feed the kids their lunch;). I'm always trying to get just the "perfect pic." As I make this post I realize that each one of the pics is perfect. Each pic captures the smiles, wiggles, and silliness of these two toddlers. 

Beat the Heat

With a stifling 90 degree day today, I filled up the water table, Ev picked out her favorite swimsuit, and we played in the shade to cool off. She started off just standing next to the table. After a while she got in and stayed there. Who could blame her?;)
