Pedicure

One of our afternoon activities while Eden was napping was giving me a pedicure. I have to admit she did a really good job. Ev was so excited to give me patterns in my nail color. She asked if Steve was going to think it was beautiful on me? Absolutely Ev, Absolutely!

Swimming

I had just finished cleaning up the lunch Eden didn't eat when I peeked around the tree and she had a pile of Kix. Knowing she usually eats off the floor what she throws I figured give her a bit to eat some(definitely second child syndrome). Nope! No deal! She didn't eat a bite! Instead she laid down and literally swam in it laughing. Course when I started to take a pic she got crazier. Some fun before nap is what Eden had for lunch yesterday:)

Christmas party

Monday we had our Community Greetings Christmas party. We started with a delicious brunch, some icebreaker questions and ended with a painting. I started out nervous but got into it after a while. The finished product isn't too bad for a Type A personality;)

Playtime

While Eden napped Ev and I played School, did a ninja warrior course and trains in the basement. I finally can play right again;)

Square lighting

Tuesday evening I met Connie for my first square lighting. What a big event Polk City puts on! We literally ate and drank our way around the square. 

Slime

While Eden napped Ev and I made slime. She called herself a slime master. Haha

Smiths

It was so much fun to have the Smiths stay with us while they awaited their new home. Tyler and I missed them so much we hung out with them again on Thursday. 

Triad

An early Christmas present will bring Eden and I to tot time on Tuesdays when the library doesn't have story time. Excellent way to burn off some energy. She was all about the slides and jumping!

Memories

So many memories are tied up @418 SE Sharon for steve and I spent with these two playing cards. Can't wait to create more on Primrose. Tina Turner...tied for third...Ace of spades...

Smith kids

Saturday the kids and I hit up valley west mall. First we visited the children's museum. Chloe loved the restaurant station and Cooper gave the mannequin a Mohawk haircut. Afterwards, we saw Santa, did a train ride, ate lunch and sat with this reindeer. We even walked two loops in the mall! It was fun to enjoy the day with them just us three:)

Giving thanks

Thankful and grateful on turkey day and everyday!

Play date

Our last play date with Cooper in his old home. Can't wait to explore in their new home in a couple of weeks:)

Children's museum

Eden enjoyed all the stations at the new temporary location of the DesMoines Children's museum. Fortunately, on a Monday, it wasn't too busy so she could do lots of exploring.

To quote Coach Rhoads from his most popular viral speech at ISU, I too am "so proud!" Although Deadeye did not place in the top 3 that does not takeaway all the hard work it took to get to the Top 18 in the country. I want you to look back someday and see where you started and let yourself feel proud about your progress. Because you've come a long way:)

Week review

Monday morning was a trip to the indoor playground. 

Tuesday morning was a trip to the library for story time. The little girl next to us had only one shoe on so Eden was "monkey see, monkey do" 

When Brigett tells you "no we're not getting anything out of the shed and you take it upon yourself to do it anyway". I admired her persistence and independence that I did help her a bit;) Rich had it like a Tetris puzzle in there.

Art museum

Saturday morning I took the kids to see the new exhibit "drawing in space". It was so much fun and interactive. Afterwards we ate lunch there and shared a yummy piece of almond joy cake. I love my time with these two. They definitely kept me laughing all through the trip:)

More playtime

A little extra special time with this little lady last night. 

Sunny days

Bundling up and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine after nap time. Just what all three of us needed!
