End of an era

Three years ago I started watching Ev and Hollie and I started cousins Thursday with these two sweet munchkins. Chloe has joined us on breaks and eventually Eden joined us but these two have been with each other weekly sharing each other's shenanigans. The time went by so quickly! With both kids starting their preschool schedules our weekly play dates will come to an end:(. As much fun as it's been watching the kids learn and grow I've enjoyed my time with Hollie just as much. Thank you for three years of crazy, laughter, and fun! This sister and aunt sure will miss it.

Road trip

With the weather set for a beautiful ride we made our way to Cordova state park on Saturday. We climbed the 169 steps to the top of the 106' observation tower. The view was breathtaking. It overlooked Lake Red Rock and we could see so far away. Afterwards we road into Pella for some refreshments from the Lamppost Lounge, treats at Jaarsma bakery and skinless brats from Ulrichs meat market. 

45th birthday

To say that Steve had the best birthday camping bash with family and friends would be an understatement! We loved the whole weekend and created lots of lasting memories with all of you. All we can say is "thank you for the good times"

Indoor playground

Concert

Last night Missy treated us to a girls night out: a concert at the Iowa state fair grandstand and our seats were in the fifth row! Although I didn't know who the two bands were before the concert I did recognize a handful of songs and enjoyed all the dancing and good times that these woman bring to my life:)

Fair

We caught up with the Beckers at the fair this weekend. We saw the usual favorites: butter cow, big boar, and super bull. After 4 $12 beers we made our way to Latitude 41 for some live music and some moderately priced drinks;)

Bike night

Thursday we went to bike night in Ames. Steve's buddy, Tim, is the drummer so it was fun to catch up with him and listen to some live music. 

Sprinkler

Thursday the girls enjoyed water in the trampoline while Cooper drove the carriage and Eden napped. Super fun afternoon!

Big Creek

Tuesday Ev and I joined the Smiths and Fallon's for some sun n fun. We were having such a great time that we actually lost track of time and were gone for four hours!

Internship

Thank you Tyler for taking such good care of this little nugget while I had a dentist appt. 

Lake Shetek

It's always a wild n crazy time and with this group at the lake it was no exception this past weekend. Gosh dang I love them all!

Nonny

Last week after seeing Tyler, were watching Bubbles Guppies and Maci says "nonny looks like tyler". Lol

Night out

Last Tuesday evening the Smiths came over and while watching the Miller girls we attended Polk City's National Night out event. 

Road Trip

After a lot of home remodeling projects behind us we jumped on the bike and headed to Illinois for a weekend getaway. There is just something about being with your husband, on the open road, no plans, and just being together without a care in the world:)

Shopping

While Ev was napping Eden was ready to shop til she dropped;)
