Day 3

Carol is a wife I spent a lot of my time with during the day. She is a metal smith and I bought a ring from her. Both of us want Franklin to send our husbands back next year so we can continue to site see together;)
The hotel Jerome where the shuttle dropped us off in town everyday. We ate supper here at the J Bar. Steve loved his Bloody Mary served with bacon on top.
More spectacular views.
Another "only in Aspen " pic.

After a great day we finally sat in the hottub together. This trip has been so good for our marriage. To be able to just sit back and relax makes my soul so happy.

Day Two

Thursday morning I had a session with the personal trainer. She started me off on the outdoor elliptical which was breathtaking, literally;)
Then in the afternoon another wife and I headed to Snowmass village for some retail therapy. Steve had apologized for not seeing me very much but I told him don't worry, I came to see Aspen, not you;)
For supper we watched the ISU game at this great local dive bar. Afterwards, walking back to our stop, we see this stuffed cow head in the back of a truck. Only in Aspen!

Day One

I love Aspen!!!!
Wednesday morning a few of us wives took a walking art tour where our resort is. It is so gorgeous and peaceful here.

The quartz garden with a water feature.
This art was on the side of a building. It looked 3D but was flat. Very big optical illusion!
This sculpture was my favorite. It's titled "I do"

In the afternoon we went thrifting. I was very underwhelmed. In the evening when the men were able to join us we went to Hops brewery for supper and Eric's bar for an after dinner cocktail. Day one: great but exhausting!

Activities

Monday I got to experience Edens boppin tots class. According to the teacher Eden did her best work yet. She watched the group, participated, and followed most directions. So happy I got to experience this class with her:)
Tuesday we attended our first adult child yoga class at the library with Hollie and Cooper. Eden liked this library activity much better than story time. She also colored a picture for mommy. It's so fun to spend this time with her:) and Hollie and Cooper:)

Laid back

Week three of story time went a little bit like this. No stamp on her hand. Name badge came off 30 seconds after putting it on. Standing staring for the stories with a pouty lip for the next 20 minutes. When the librarian said bye I got a little smile.
Afterwards we visited Cooper. Eden was so much happier! She loves all the kind gentle pampering that Coop gives her. She enjoyed just sitting back and being entertained:)

Thursday

Our one on one time included surprise eggs, playing batgirl outside, art and when Tyler came over she wanted one on one time with him playing eye spy with her favorite book.
Anyone that has ever tried to take a sip out of my cup knows I don't share easily but when you have this cute face wanting to use your straw how can an aunt resist;)

Trivia @515

Last evening Steve had a team building activity at 515 Brewery. It was a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association and we had a blast. The team placed 5th out of 14 teams. I enjoyed trying the new beers and didn't enjoy how much I don't know. I have no useless knowledge to contribute but I did help myself to plenty of micro brews and isn't that whole point of being the wife at these things;)

Story Time

Getting a stamp on her hand and she wasn't too sure about it.

She wanted to put her headband on herself and after a bit she threw it down and left it.
During the first song she relaxed a bit on the floor just looking around and taking it all in. There were ALOT of kids and it was a bit overwhelming. (For both of us;)
By time the clapping came Eden was really into it. She's still pretty timid just staying within inches of me. It's fun to see her progress from week to week and watch her facial expressions. She's so animated!

Rivalry game

Saturday we watched the ISU/IU game at Cowles Commons downtown in DM. We had so much fun it might become a yearly tradition. Weather permitting of course;)

Tyler and Melissa watched Charlie for the weekend so he got to partake in all the tailgating festivities in Ames. Charlie was a perfect pet all weekend and that gave tyler the itch to get a pet of his own:)

New era

Our new Tuesday mornings will be Eden and I attending a library activity. This first one she was pretty quiet and shy just observing the other children and listening attentively.
After story time we visited Cooper before his first day of preschool. Eden was excited to see her cousin and Charlie;)
Thursday while Eden napped Ev and I had lots of time to play. We started off with surprise eggs, then played outside and ended it with drawing. After not seeing her for a week I felt like she grew up. Some of our chats are very serious and then turn super silly. I enjoy all the together and one on one time with the smith and Kneifl kids:)
