Birthday #41

As I become older with each passing birthday I appreciate all the big and small things that make this day special. The well wishes from family and friends, the gifts and a surprise visit from Tyler.

Without discussing what each other wanted Steve got me the left pair for my birthday and I got him the right pair for Valentine's Day. We laughed so hard! After 25 years we are finally on the same page. HaHa

Friday afternoon mom came down with my favorite homemade cake she makes: carrot cake with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. Since it was my day I ate a piece before and after she took us all out for supper. Both pieces were delicious! Saturday evening we ended birthday week with Steve and I laughing for 90 minutes at the Funny Bone. Neither of us can remember a single joke that was told but our cheeks really hurt so we know it was a good time.

Like Mother, like Daughter

At Cooper's today Ev was all about the wand and "glass slippers." When she got back home she wanted to find her own "glass slippers" in mommys closet. She picked a really tall pair of stilettos and couldn't quite stand well in them. She found another pair that fit just perfect and was off. And Andrea thought here shoes were going to go unworn.  Wrong! Miss Cinderella said, " Mommy has a lot of glass slippers in here Brigett. Look!"

Switch up

Today Ev and I went to Smiths for a play date. We got to meet and hold Charlie. He must've been excited to meet us because the first thing he did was pee on the floor;)
Then it was time to go downstairs and play. Ev said she was fixing stuff like Daddy does.
Then it was back upstairs to see and sit and eat her snack in Charlie's playhouse (as Ev called it.) Never a dull moment when you have two toddlers together and a new puppy.

Hyvee

Deadeye is now in the two Ames Hyvee stores and they got quite the impressive set up!

80s night continued

The kids enjoyed the many games and dance party with friends. At the end of the night I had won two raffle drawings, Chloe won best dressed entourage, and Steve and Cooper were ready for bed.

While the parents are away...

...the aunt and uncle will go all out for Chloe's school 80s family fun night. I think we may have had more fun than the kids. The big hair, the music, the Atari games all brought us back to our youth and it was totally rad;)
