Per Tylers request, Steve built this shelf out of leftover scraps for a Deadeye display. Friday Steve helped Tyler deliver it to the South Fareway in Ankeny.

Thursday
Thursday Ev and I played at Smith's. Ev is always excited to see Coops and now that Chloe is out of school for the summer as equally as excited to play with her. Before lunch it was indoors playing Paw Patrol. After lunch it was outdoor fun at the water table.
After nap time Ev and I ran an errand to Fleet Farm. On the way back she saw that Maci was home so we stopped by and they played...shopkins of course.

Camping
Last Friday we packed up for our first weekend of camping this summer and headed to Jefferson, Iowa for the 37th Annual Belltower Festival. We literally arrived minutes apart from mom and dad and set up our campsite at the Greene County Fairgrounds in the cattle building! Our host, Jennifer, was definitely the Hostest with the Mostest! There was no time to waste as we were eager to try out Dads newest camping purchase, The Coolest Cooler. In fact, we loved it so much we had to walk instead of drive to the uptown festivities;). After supper we made our way to The Spare Time Lounge where Steve and I bowled a game(yes I let him win by one pin), watched the NBA final game and listened to regulars sing Karaoke.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early to enjoy the Firemans Breakfast then head out on our Bootleggers Templeton Rye'd. 3 of us tried the whiskey as it was coming out of the metal barrel at 178 proof! Not gonna lie, it burned for a minute afterwards. We visited four more spots to finish out our poker hand and run for the day. By this time it was darn right hot out we headed back to the cattle barn and cooled off and napped.
Then it was on to the nights festivities. No trip to Jefferson would be complete without visiting the casino where I was the big winner and a ride up 128 ft. in the elevator to the top of the belltower.

Strawberry patch
While on a bike ride with Steve Sunday night we noticed Iowa Orchard has their Strawberry patch just a couple miles from us. So today after preschool Ev and I went to pick and taste the delicious berries. She was so energetic and chatted with everyone in the field. She was also in charge of the flag that you put at the end of your row when done because as I'm told quite frequently, "I'm 3 Brigett. I'm a big girl now!"
Tyler took a turn at consoling Eden after I went through three diapers at one changing.
Wedding weekend
Last Friday we headed to Sioux City for the weekend to attend and celebrate Alex and Elizabeth's wedding. The wedding was beautiful. Afterwards we enjoyed a sweet treat at the ice cream parlor. Then it was off to the reception. After lots of food, dancing and being a good guest using up all our drink tickets we took advantage of the bus ride back to the hotel. We had a great time with family catching up. So fun to get together and celebrate the good times!
